Vedic Education
Veda Classes were initially, conducted in the mornings of week- ends at the car parking space of Guha Flats, Vivekanandapuram First Street, West Mambalam , Chennai, India which was graciously allowed by the residents of Guha Flats. The Vidyarthees, who are a heterogeneous group comprising mostly of senior citizens, found it difficult to retain the Santhais (learning in Patashala style) taught during the weekends. So the classes were organised on all days of the week in the hall at "Sri Sudarshana" in Postal Colony 3rd Street, West Mambalam, Chennai, India which is being provided at free of cost by the noble and benevolent land owner (Late) Shri S.Rangaswamy Iyengar. This was possible primarily due to the effort of our Guruji Shri. Venugopalan, who strongly advocated the need to have daily classes to improve the pace and quality of learning. Daily classes are held for 1 to 1.5 hours in the morning .
On all evenings, the Vidyarthees assemble at Guha Apartments between 7-8 P.M to practice the portion taught in the morning sessions. This enables the vidyarthees to gain near perfection in their recitation and to meet the standards set for Vedic learning.
In addition, special sessions are conducted for those who are working and cannot devote time for daily practice. Special classes during Week Ends or Evenings are also held at a convenient time.

The upa-yuktha Veda Bhaagams taught so far are:
-
Sukthams : Pancha Suktham , Pavamana Suktham, Durga Suktham, Medha Suktham , Navagraha Suktham, Nakshatra Suktham, Baghya Suktham, Ayushya Suktham.
-
Rudram, Chamakam, Shanthi Panchakam, Gosha Shanthi, Narayana Upanishad, Manthra Pushpam.
-
Upanishads : Seekshavalli, Brahmananda Valli, Brughu Valli, Ganapathi Atharvaseersham
As an additional resource for learning, the Santhai sessions were recorded, uploaded and shared to Google Drive and also sent through Whatsapp for the Vidyarthees for their daily practice. These recordings have helped to perfect the aksharam and swaram, inspite of the fact that many of the members of the heterogeneous group do not have working knowledge of Sanskrit language , which uniquely supports the learning of Vedas.
The daily evening practice is carefully selected and monitored by Guruji who spends his time in ensuring that the vidyarthees learn perfectly. Besides individual coaching is also given by Guruji for those who require it. Guruji conducts periodical tests to ensure that all vidyarthees reach certain basic level in the recitation of these holy scriptures.
Online Classes
The lockdown caused by the Pandemic resulted in closure of direct classes. However, with the group's dedication and Gurus determination, online santhai/practice classes are held daily in the morning and evening using apps such as Zoom, Google Meet.
